Child & Adolescent Provisional Psychologist
Jo is a registered provisional psychologist who is currently completing her Master of Educational Psychology at The University of Melbourne. She has experience working with children, adolescents and families, in a variety of contexts, including government, Catholic and independent schools, as well as early intervention and early education settings.
Jo utilises a person-centred therapy style and draws on components of various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as strengths-based and mindfulness approaches.
Jo has several years of experience working with children who present with challenging behaviours. She is also experienced in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), learning difficulties, and social and emotional issues.
Jo values collaborating with families and schools and creating a warm and supportive environment through her practice. Above all else, she focuses on empowering the individuals she works with and is passionate about supporting children and young people to flourish.
